If you had told me early in my career that I’d one day start a business centered around recruiting, I probably would’ve laughed. Not because I didn’t respect the work—but because, back then, I actively resisted it.
I started my journey in HR over two decades ago. I loved the people side of the business—the strategy, the culture-building, the development of teams—but when it came to recruiting, I wasn’t drawn to it. In fact, I fought the urge to go down that path. To me, it felt transactional compared to the deeper, ongoing work of employee engagement and organizational development.
But like many career-defining moments, my path kept leading me back to it.
Time after time, I was pulled into recruiting efforts—either to fill a tough role, help a team find the right fit, or coach hiring managers through their decision-making. And every time, I found success. Candidates I placed thrived. Teams grew stronger. Leaders trusted me. Eventually, I realized something important: this wasn’t just about filling roles. It was about connection. Purpose. Building something meaningful for both the company and the individual.
What I had once resisted became something I genuinely loved—because I redefined it on my own terms. Recruiting, when done right, is about aligning people with purpose and creating long-term impact.
That realization was the turning point. I knew I wanted to do this work on a deeper level, with more freedom and intention. So after years of working in corporate HR and honing my skills across every area of the employee lifecycle, I took a leap and opened my own consulting company.
Now, I get to do the work I once avoided—and I couldn’t be more grateful for the journey that led me here. I help organizations grow by connecting them with exceptional talent. I support individuals in finding roles that align with their values and career goals. And I do it all while staying true to the core values that have guided me throughout my career: integrity, connection, growth, and purpose.
Looking back, I can see that my “true north” was always there—I just had to stop resisting it.
